A music video for Bath’s new song, Lovely Bloodflow. The video is absolutely amazing and also features a guy from the graduating class of my major, Design | Media Arts. Check it out. I’m still watching it on repeat.
Treat Studios, Robin Bushell and Julia Pott collboratively worked on a 20 minute piece that was composed of animations layers over photographs, stop-motion film, and maybe even regular film for a backdrop that was used for a Bat for Lashes performance earlier this year. I love this short sample of the piece. I can’t imagine how amazing it would have been to see the band performing with the full 20 minute animation in the back. We need to see more live performance of bangs collaborating with artists for amazing set designs like this.
Directors Sebastian Baptista & Nico Casavecchia have taken the part in the film, Where the Wild Things Are, where Max is telling his mom a story and they have filmed/animated their our narrative for it. Its really an amazing short, just over a minute long, that brings us great visuals to bring Max’s story to life. I love the addition of the animated body parts to the real life props/characters to really bring everything together.
I hope you’re not tired of the Dos Equis x KAWS posts that I have been updating with. With the finalization of the collaboration, they bring us a behind the scenes video of the process that took place behind the project. The video shows perspective from both the Dos Equis plant and KAWS himself.
